Kick BRB Clips Player
Generate an OBS Browser Source URL that plays a Kick channel's clips at random during a BRB/reconnect scene.
OBS Browser Source setup
- Add a Browser Source to your BRB/reconnect scene, paste the generated URL.
- Set width/height to match your canvas (e.g. 1920×1080).
- Check Control audio via OBS so the clip audio shows up in your mixer.
- Leave Shutdown source when not visible unchecked if you want the pool to keep refreshing in the background; check it if you'd rather it re-fetch fresh clips each time the scene goes live.
- If a channel has very few recent clips, widen the timeframe to "All time" — a small pool is the #1 cause of clips feeling repetitive.
- Add
&debug=1to the URL and use Interact on the source in OBS to see a live log if something looks wrong (empty pool, API errors, etc).
How it works
This page builds a URL for player.html, which is meant to run inside an OBS
Browser Source. When it loads, it fetches your Kick channel's recent clips directly from
Kick's public API — nothing is uploaded or proxied through this server. It picks clips in
shuffled order with no immediate repeats, retries automatically if a fetch fails, and
periodically refreshes so newly-created clips get picked up without you having to
regenerate the URL.
